Aside from our family’s experiences, here are some wonderful sources of local information on gardening and farming in Maryland.
Gardening in Maryland has some unique challenges. I’ve said this before, but I cannot say enough positive things about our local agricultural extension offices. They offer classes (see below). And they have loads of great information bulletins tailored to our local growing conditions (see below).

- Mark your calendars for this year’s seed swaps. Maryland Seed Swap Day — April 3rd @ Brookeside Gardens More details coming soon. They will be taking Covid precautions.
- They have excellent podcasts from local gardeners about their techniques.
